well, I am going to be really harsh and speak my mind about last nights DJs!

number 1 was inconsistent

number 2 didn't make any impression so I think that he probably played non descript tunes.

number 3 played a Dave Pearce cd

number 4 played great the only set I felt like dancing to

number 5 again very non descript
and finally

number 6 played great too but by that time I was bored from the set before and when she had finished I just wanted her to carry on as I was just getting going again.

anyway sorry to be harsh but I think someone has to be completely honest...

I agree that everyone has a right to there opinion but at least they had the balls to get up there and do it.

I don,t think it helps them with people slating there performance each to there own and all that.

Well done to all who played Very Happy

Well, not sure what to say apart from how can you say the first dj was inconsistent. As a good friend of Damien and knowing full well that the guy is a superb dj and also knowing his track-listing for the night would suggest to me that he was'nt inconsistent but in fact cutting edge playing nothing but the latest and best trance around at the moment. I mean, if you want to hear tunes that you've heard a million times before, well, thats fine but if you are like me and want to hear the best of the latest stuff around at the moment then there is no better dj than Damien. I have no doubt that Damien will be one of the lucky few that get to play at Trees on a regular basis and boy does he deserve it Very Happy

Dave Pearce? Which CD. Who was number 3? couldn't see him thru the masses on the dance floor. We all know that only that bird last had a chance cos they want a girl DJ. Might as well go sailors, the barn, or twilight if she gets it. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

in my honest opinion there was only one clear winner, King Louie. If anyone paid attention to the dance floor you will have noticed that his was without doubt the fullest. I agree with Dr.J that it's good to hear new tunes but it is even better when you hear an old classic that you ain't heard for ages!!! He was also very entertaining to watch!! really looked like he was enjoying it and looked very comfortable behinde the decks. Like I said, a clear winner.

I have to agree with you Dr J,
I had never heard Damien James play before round 1 of the comp, and again last night, on both occasions he impressed me with his tune selection, technical ability & DJ performance.
I think he's a impresive DJ,
I also had the chance to chat with him for the 1st time last night and found him to be friendly and dedicated to DJing.

I have nothing but total respect for him. Very Happy

For those that were at trees for the start of the final will remember, he played 1st to a smallish crowd and did a great job of creating a good atmosphere. Very Happy

"That Bird"
She slowed the tempo down and raised it again with a fresh sound (away from the ard ouse) a brave move for the last set of the comp final, and it worked, so give her the credit she deserves for doing it.

Was'nt the King fu**** on the night!!! If he was, shame on him. He took the place of some worthy other potential finalist!!! You only get one chance at these sorts of things.

Louie has defenatly got my vote, he packed the floor and got the place jumping, he played wkd tunes and gave the crowed what they all wanted, a good stomp!

This guy will bring the trees atmosphere back and fill the void left by Stu's departure.

KING LOU 2 WIN Cool Very Happy Wink
